As far as we can see, the strength of J-pop artists is often the production side’s advantage: having J-pop artists sing can help find a new audience to watch anime. Increasing the number of people watching anime is a good thing. However, the strengths of anime song singers and voice actors will live on if they want to keep existing fans connected.
In conclusion, J-pop artists will not replace anime song singers and voice actors. However, a balance has to be struck.
